Supplies Needed: worsted weight yarn (I used Caron Simply Soft), H (5.0 mm) hook, yarn needle.
Stitch Abbreviations: ch – chain, sc – single crochet, hdc – half double crochet, dc – double crochet, slst – slip stitch, FLO – front loop only.
6-12 month Hat
Round 1: magic ring – ch 2, dc 10, slst to first dc of round.
Round 2: ch 2, 2 dc in each stitch around, slst to first dc of round.
Round 3: ch 2, *2 dc in first stitch, 1 dc in next stitch* repeat * to * around, slst to first dc of round. (30 stitches)
Round 4: ch 2, *2 dc in first stitch, 1 dc in next 2 stitches* repeat * to * around, slst to first dc of round.
Round 5: ch 2, *2 dc in first stitch, 1 dc in next 9 stitches* repeat * to * around, slst to first dc of round. (44 stitches)
Round 6: ch 2, *2 dc in first stitch, 1 dc in next 10 stitches* repeat * to * around, slst to first dc of round. (48 stitches)
Round 7 – Round 11: ch 2, dc in each stitch around, slst to first dc of round.
Round 12: ch 2, FLO 2 dc in each stitch around, slst to first dc of round. (96 stitches)
Round 13: ch 1, *2 sc in first stitch, 1 sc in next stitch* repeat * to * around, slst to first stitch of round.
Fasten off, weave in ends.
Toddler (1-3 years) Hat
