One of the most overlooked characters in the Toy Story universe is the little green alien! Now, you can create an adorable baby drool bib to resemble the three-eyed aliens while keeping your baby clean, dry, and out-of-this-world cute!

Supplies Needed: cotton yarn in hot green, pastel purple, dazzle blue, black, and white (I used Sugar ‘n Cream), H hook, and a button.

Stitch Abbreviations: sc – single crochet, slst – slip stitch, ch – chain, sc2tog – single crochet 2 stitches together, hdc – half double crochet, dc – double crochet, trc – treble crochet.

Bib (worked in rows, beginning with dazzle blue)

Row 1: ch 27, begin stitches in 2nd chain from hook, sc 26, ch 1, turn.

Row 2: 2 sc in first stitch, sc next 24, 2 sc in last stitch, ch 1, turn.

Row 3 – Row 8: sc in each stitch across, ch 1, turn.

Change to pastel purple yarn.

Row 9: 2 sc in first stitch, sc across to last stitch, 2 sc in last stitch, ch 1, turn.

Row 10: sc across, ch 1, turn.

Row 11: sc2tog, sc each of the next 24 stitches, sc2tog, ch 1, turn.

Change to hot green yarn.

Row 12 – Row 30: sc in each stitch across, ch 1, turn. (28 stitches)

Row 31: sc 8, ch 1, turn. leave remaining stitches of row 30 unworked for now.

Row 32: sc2tog, sc 4, sc2tog, ch 1, turn.

Row 33 – Row 44: sc 6, ch 1,turn.

Row 45: sc2tog, sc 2, sc2tog, ch 1, turn.

Row 46: sc2tog 2 times.

Fasten off.

Attach yarn to opposite corner of row 30 and work rows 31-46 to create strap 2.

At the end of row 46 on strap 2, ch 1, sc around entire bib placing 2 sc in each corner at the bottom of the bib. When you get to the top of strap 2, ch 6, slst back to the same spot to create a button loop. Fasten off, weave in ends.

Attach a button to the top of strap 1.

Pupils (black yarn, make 3)

Round 1: magic ring – 6 sc, slst to first sc of round.

Fasten off, leave tail for sewing to eyes.

Eyes (white yarn, make 3)

Round 1: magic ring – 6 sc.

Round 2: 2 sc in each stitch around.

Round 3: *2 sc in first stitch, 1 sc in next* repeat * to * 3 times, *2 hdc in one stitch, 1 hdc in next* repeat * to *3 times, slst to first sc of round.

Fasten off, leave tail for sewing to bib.

Sew one pupil to each eye. Sew one eye centered at row 29 of bib, sew the other two eyes on each side of the first at row 26.

Mouth (black yarn)

Round 1: magic ring – ch 1, sc, dc, 2 sc, dc, sc, slst to first stitch of round.

Pull magic ring closed.

Fasten off, leave tail for sewing. Attach to bib at row 15, embroider a smile coming our of each side of the mouth.

Ears (hot green yarn, make 2)

Round 1: ch 7, slst , sc each of the next 2, hdc in each of the next 2, dc, 7 trc in the last chain, continue working stitches into other side of foundation chain, dc, hdc 2, sc next 2, slst in last chain.

Fasten off, weave in ends.

Sew to edges of bib so that bottom of ear is it row 19.
