Fasten off, leave a long tail for sewing to head. Create the braided bun, then pin the bun onto the doll’s head so that you can find just the right placement before sewing it on. I prefer to have the 2 slip stitches aligned with the nose.
Creating the Bun!
Create 2 braids using each section of 3 ‘hair’ strands to create their own braid.

Twist the braids around themselves and each other to create the desired bun look.

Tack and sew the braided bun into place so it stays secure!
Dress (main dress color yarn)
The bodice of the dress will be worked in rows first, then you will slip stitch the ends together to begin the skirt portion.
Row 1: Leaving a long tail to start, ch 26, begin stitches in 2nd chain from hook, sc 25, ch 1, turn.
Row 2: sc first stitch, *sc next 2, 2 sc, sc next 3* repeat * to * across, ch 1, turn.

Round 15: ch 2, *2 dc in first stitch, dc next 4* repeat * to * around, slst to first stitch.

Fasten off. Use the long tail you left at the beginning to sew the back seam closed, then weave in ends.
You can easily adapt this dress to be longer by continuing to repeat rounds 16-18 to the desired length.
