Stitch Abbreviations Used: sc – single crochet, bobble – bobble stitch by creating 4 dc into the same stitch, sc2tog – single crochet two together, hdc2tog – half double crochet two together, ch – chain, BLO – back loop only, FLO – front loop only.

Arms (make 2, tealeaf yarn)

Round 1: magic ring – 6 sc.

Round 2: 2 sc in each stitch around.

Round 3: sc in each stitch around.

Round 4: bobble, sc 11.

Round 5: *sc2tog, sc next stitch* repeat around. (9 stitches)

Change to black yarn.

Round 6 – Round 13: sc in each stitch around.

Round 14: stuff the arm, flatten round 13 to close the top of the arm, complete round 14 stitches through front and back of arm to permanently close, sc2tog, sc 2.

Fasten off, weave in ends.

Feet/Legs (make 2, black yarn)

Round 1: ch 5, begin working in 2nd chain from hook, 2 sc in first stitch, sc in each of the next 2, 3sc in last chain, turn work to continue working along the back side of the foundation chain, sc next 2, 2 sc in final stitch of round.

Round 2: 2 sc in first stitch, sc in each of the next 4, 3 sc in next stitch, sc in each of the next 4, 2 sc in final stitch of round.

Round 3: 2 sc in each of the first 2 stitches, sc next 4 stitches, 2 sc in next stitch, sc in each of the next 4 stitches, 2 sc in each of the next 2 stitches, sc each of the next 4 stitches, 2 sc in each of the last 2 stitches. (24 stitches)

Round 4: BLO sc in each stitch around.

Round 5: sc next 8 stitches, hdc2tog 4 times, sc next 8 stitches. (20 stitches)

Round 6: sc each of the first 6 stitches, sc2tog 4 times, sc each of the last 6 stitches. (16 stitches)

Round 7: sc first 6 stitches, sc2tog 2 times, sc last 6 stitches. (14 stitches)

Change to blue yarn.

Round 8 – Round 9: sc in each stitch around.

Round 10 – Round 15: sc in each stitch around.

Fasten off leg one, repeat for leg two but do not fasten off. Continue leg 2 to body/head section. Add stuffing to feet and legs.

Body/Head (blue yarn)

Round 1: sc next 3 stitches on leg 2, ch 2, place stitch marker, pick up leg 1 and align it with leg 2. Continue stitches on leg 1, sc 32 around both legs (placing 1 stitch in each side of each chain space as you work around the legs).

Round 2 – Round 6: sc in each stitch around.

Change to white yarn.

Round 7: BLO *sc2tog, sc each of the next 14 stitches* repeat around. (30 stitches)

Round 8 – Round 10: sc in each stitch around.

Begin stuffing body.

Round 11: *sc2tog, sc next 8* repeat around. (27 stitches)

Round 12 – Round 13: sc in each stitch around.

Round 14: *sc2tog, sc next 7* repeat around. (24 stitches)

Round 15: sc in each stitch around.

Round 16: sc first 4 stitches, pick up first arm, align to body, sc 3 through arm and body to connect together, sc each of the next 9 stitches, pick up second arm, align to body, sc 3 through arm and body to connect together, sc last 5 stitches.

Round 17: *sc2tog, sc next 2* repeat around. (18 stitches)

Round 18: * sc2tog, sc next stitch* repeat around. (12 stitches)

Change to green yarn.

Round 19: BLO sc in each stitch around.

Nose (tealeaf yarn)

Round 1: magic ring – 5 sc.

Round 2: sc first 2, 3 sc in next stitch, sc last 2.

Round 3: sc in each stitch around.

Fasten off, leave tail for sewing over the bobble stitch in round 28 of body/head.

Ears (make 2, tealeaf yarn)

Round 1: magic ring – 5 sc, slst to first sc.

Fasten off, sew to sides of head around round 28.

Pant Legs (make 2, blue yarn)

Round 1: attach yarn to back of leg at round 9,ch 1, sc in each unworked loop around the leg, slst to first sc.

Fasten off, weave in ends.

Jacket (black yarn, worked in rows)

Row 1: ch 33, begin working in 2nd chain from hook, sc 32 across, ch 1, turn.

Row 2 – Row 4: sc across, ch 1, turn.

Row 5: sc first 7 stitches, sc2tog, sc next 14 stitches, sc2tog, sc last 7, ch 1, turn. (30 stitches)

Row 6: *sc first 4, sc2tog, sc next 4* repeat across, ch 1, turn. (27 stitches)

Row 7 – Row 8: sc across, ch 1, turn.

Row 9: *sc first 3, sc2tog, sc next 4* repeat across, ch 1, turn. (24 stitches)

Row 10: sc across, ch 1, turn.

Row 11: sc first 4 stitches, ch 4, skip 4 stitches of row 10, sc next 8, ch 4, skip 4 stitches of row 10, sc last 4, ch 1, turn.

Row 12: *sc first stitch, sc2tog, sc next stitch* repeat across (placing stitches in every stitch and chain of the previous row), ch 3, turn.

Row 13: FLO 3 dc in first stitch, dc in each stitch up to the last stitch, 3 dc in final stitch, ch 3, slst to end of row 12.

Continue to sc around entire jacket edge to beginning of row 13.

Fasten off, weave in ends. Put jacket onto body and use an additional piece of black yarn to sew the arm holes to the arms.

Hair (orange yarn, worked in rows)

Row 1: ch 12, begin working in 3rd chain from hook, hdc 10, ch 2, turn.

Row 2: BLO hdc across, ch 2, turn.

Row 3: hdc across, ch 2, turn.

Row 4 – Row 7: repeat rows 2 and 3.

Row 8: BLO hdc across.

Fasten off, weave in ends. For added detail, embroider along the edge of the unworked front rows with black yarn.
